I was expecting another expansion or something like that, with quality end game content and a follow-up to the main story. If they jump into the DLC bandwagon, I will be dissapointed.
John West IV: +G. Depp I haven't seen a single thing stating the release date of the Necromancer DLC itself other than sometime 2017. There was more to the announcement thank just the Necromancer... as there is the Diablo 1 in the D3 engine and new areas that they stated would all be free. The Necromancer is part of a separate pack sure, no pricing info revealed at all. And they said most of these things are hitting the PTR's within a week or so. I looked at multiple sources and direct interviews with the developers...where are you pulling your info from and please link it.

If I remember well it's based in New Zealand and had about 20 employee when it was release. D3's whole game is greater rift liner runs. i liked it when it still had that d2 feel with campaign being playable, now d3 has a whole campaign sitting there with no difficulty sets like normal, nightmare, hell and inferno now its locked with one play through. it throws out that classic feel to the diablo games. they should of had rifts and greater rifts as an end game extra by completing the game on the 4 tier difficulty's. example with poe you have to play through the campaign until the last play through then you can do map runs now the whole game is useful not useless sitting there not played. people just want a rush game with no sense of achievement quick runs and easy loot the current game is more basic then diablo 2. the other option is to make the campaign a separate leader board for people who want that classic diablo feel gameplay back with normal, nightmare, hell and inferno.

Activision Blizzard really was pissed that PoE was almost a copy,(Much better, look up builds in PoE) and free forever. And never pay to win. If you want cosmetics and to support the game. You can buy packages. Other than that you have to trade items and crafts. There is no currency in the game. The only exciting things since the d3 release was seeing people get good drops rarely. It really is a bummer to me because. Now I only play a blizzard game once in a great while for 10-20 min just because. The experiences aren't there anymore. Blizzard quality screams retirement.

Taking until 2017 to do make a character class is lazy. There's nothing left to do for D3, we've nearly reached the 5 year mark now and content is dry as fuck. This '' Game '' is 30-40% complete lol. Every '' free '' new ish content thing they give us, including this necromancer, is stuff we were told the game would have by launch, or that should have been there by launch, including the necro, etc. hopefully in 2038 when they are ready, they start a diablo MMO that in no way resembles anything world of wargarbage or hearthgivemeyourmoney, or heroes of how the fuck did you make a worse moba game when moba games are already bad except sort of dota, along with overw-copy of every other game ever but its sort of decent i suppose with tons of hackers running rampant, and start the story either at D1 or pre D1, and completely erase the absolute worst lore ever made that is diablo 3, just completely skip that / rewrite it, so we can all move on. now im ganna go cry and eat my icecream cone in the corner

John Doe: The weirdest thing is that all those D2 fanboys act like 12-year olds, but in reality they are adult men (12-year olds don't play games that are older than them with shitty graphics). This baffles me the most. E.g. they complain that you can respec at any time in D3 while in D2 you had to create a new char (before they added an option to Adria which can be used only 3 times without ubers) Do you guys still have time and patience being 20+ years old to level a new char if you misclicked one skill assignment during leveling? I am so glad they didn't go that route with D3. They obviously screwed up with some things in D3 like being class set dependent opposed to skill/spell level depended, essentially relying on set bonuses which give you 1000% increase for particular skills or otherwise you'll be stuck in torment 1 dealing no damage if you choose not to use those skills. But they also did tons of improvements over Diablo 2.

Odbarc: If there's an expansions worth of DLC the model might be more cost effective in parts of the world like China where much of the citizens wouldn't buy an expansion where you get everything and they would buy the pieces they desired most and if a majority of their money comes from there, it's definitely the route they would take. I'm curious about future DLCs that would come for Diablo. I somewhat expect that that none of them will be story/lore additions like a new act. I hope that these DLCs help pay for or encourage content patches in the future and if it does, I'll be really happy.

They've changed it so that the "target" is only by the "five closest" and it's not constant, but that was the predecessor for that. Blood Rush doesn't do damage, Dashing Strike does. Lowered cooldown in exchange for removed damage seems like a fairly simple trade. Scaling based on Mob HP broke the game quite early on with monk's Exploding Palm. They changed it quite quickly.

Bekee x: I agree firstly i have over 2000 hrs on d3 but when a new season starts i play for the free digital content and wait for the next season. D3's whole game is greater rift liner runs. i liked it when it still had that d2 feel with campaign being playable, now d3 has a whole campaign sitting there with no difficulty sets like normal, nightmare, hell and inferno now its locked with one play through. it throws out that classic feel to the diablo games. they should of had rifts and greater rifts as an end game extra by completing the game on the 4 tier difficulty's. example with poe you have to play through the campaign until the last play through then you can do map runs now the whole game is useful not useless sitting there not played. people just want a rush game with no sense of achievement quick runs and easy loot the current game is more basic then diablo 2. the other option is to make the campaign a separate leader board for people who want that classic diablo feel gameplay back with normal, nightmare, hell and inferno.

GGG took advantage of these $$ to make team bigger and get game ready for a release. Now about gameplay ... I prefer gameplay to not be as smooth as D3s but to offer AMAZING diversity and unseen up till now out of any ARPG , deepness to its core mechanics. Literally you can combine any skill you like with something else and come up with something exciting that its fun and op and move you up to end game , not what everyone else plays .. rather what you really like to play with ! In D3 , even if gameplay is smooth , its gameplay mechanics are soooooo shallow that everyone ends up playing the very same build , has the very same items and play the very same way ... So , i prefer everything else POE offers than just smooth gameplay. Besides POE , in its current version offers way smoother gameplay than 2-3 years ago , not as smooth as D3s but way better as well as graphics in case you missed it. For example , i started Season 8 on D3 and after 3 days , literally 3 , i ended up having 2 full geared characters. I bored to death. Nothing more to find other that some ancient parts or nothing more to see as of end game rather than some high GRs while playing a build you dont even like to begin with !!! Boooooooring. If Path of Exile had a Blizzard logo on it , everyone literally would praise it like no other ARPG , let alone play it . But its not and thats the main issue with POE as we speak. People dont give it as much credit as it deserves ... Its freaking Free to play and offers the deepest gameplay mechanics , itemization , end game , diversity , content , you name it out of all ARPG ever existed. The builds were 100x more interesting in Diablo 2(Melee Sorceress, Smite Pally, Foh Pally, Auradin, MANY OTHERS... in other words using the gear to twist your character into a unique build, NOT POSSIBLE IN DIABLO 3). If you're going to remove trading all together, make better gear drop at a higher percentage. I ran a bot for Diablo 3 for 24 hours a day for at least an ENTIRE year(yes during RoS). NOT A SINGLE top tier piece of gear dropped....That alone has proven the game is not worth dedicating any time to playing it. I seriously feel for anyone who has hand played an equal amount of time....Diablo 3 is nothing more than the worst possible case of a soul-less grind fest. "Ohhhh I got a good drop! Maybe I can trade it for the piece of gear I actually need!?" Not possible....... Blizzard fucked up bad with this game. It's more of a casual console game than a PC game these days.

Craig Davis: I think the D3 engine had some serious oversights when they created it, it is actually weaker than the D2 engine in some regards. Amount of players per game and removal of mercenaries in multiplayer, along with the original summoner (WD) being very limited on the amount of summons he can have are prime examples of where the engine is lacking, and servers also. Necro will not feel right at all as what defined the class (a literal army of summons) will not be in D3. Bone spear is a reskinned electrocute, his curse is a reskinned judgement, blood rush is a reskinned dashing strike etc... There is actually a very small amount of new content with the class and it is not true to the D2 Necro. At least the Crusader was very close to the D2 Paladin only with some new abilities and nerfed auras. Not all negative though, if the price is right he will be quite fun and may revive D3 for a lot of players for a couple of months. If you're annoyed at this (which you're in your right to be) voting no if you deep down want to play it out of annoyance at no expansion/sequel will harm the series more than help it. Blizzard will let Diablo die if we do, they already have WoW, Overwatch and Hearthstone that make more money than Diablo has since it was their only other major game besides Warcraft many years ago. Not saying to buy the pack if it's badly price or out of hope for a sequel/exp, just try and think about the impact it will have if the community refuse this content purely on the principle of it not being a sequel/exp, not because of it being bad or overpriced.

Dom4z: I am fine with the DLC if that means we are going to get more constant and stable game updates. However, I am sick and tired of current seasons, they are no longer interesting or fun. Every season is just a paragon grind into oblivion. What made diablo special was the loot you get, where is that now? Now when I get legendary I no longer feel excited, because they literally rain from the sky. All the builds are the same with a variation of 1 active and passive skill. It is not even up for debate which game has more complexity and versatility (d3 vs. PoE). However, PoE is not my kind cup of tea, even though it is a very good game. I wish Blizzard would introduce some classic mode for D3. Make it super grindy with a sense of progression. Make legendaries feel like legendaries. What was better about vanilla d3, was the sense of achievement in terms of difficulty you were able to tackle and keep progressing further etc. However it had tons of problems like auction house, boring skills and legendaries with shitty affixes. If they would do classic mode, I expect a major decrease in legendary drop rates, removal of paragon or at least giving it a cap, while leaving the rest of the stuff in-game like Grifts and so on.

I mean after all that has happened in Reaper of Souls it is the class that makes most sense to return, as they are the keeper of balance after all. Cause right now, the only capable being that could pose a threat is another nephalem, and that kind of would doom any sequel if not dealt with beforehand. They could make an expansion that has another nephalem as antagonist, which leads to an end where the powers of the nephalem are sealed, or at least weakened again, to regain balance once more.

If u want to have something in ur gear to be ancient.. in my case for example i farm for like a week to have 200 act mats and 1.000 forgoten souls. The result of this was 40 attempts to reforge who ends in ONE yes ONE fucking bow for my Demon Hunter. - The higuer rifts: The game apparently analyze ur toon and throw in the gr all u DONT NEED to win the rift... it doesnt even give u the chance to do it... what i mean with this is..... if u are a hammerdin and need lots of big mobs then the game gives u mobs of 3-4 monsters max... and im talking about a GR 85. - The loot..The game claims do be a rng game... well random my ass... i guide i follow for certain toon says find an obsidian ring with crit, crit chance and hole.... i farm and fam like crazy for weeks and store every obsidian i find... kadala? what idk what kind of joke kadala is but i think is more a troll from the developers than an actual help for the game.. when i go kadala i only think she is usefull to get basic yellow materials nothing more.. Groups are a lot more fun in D3 than in PoE (where the strongest character just generally does everything while the rest of the group follows him and collects loot; grouping in PoE is mostly for economic reasons - you can get more shit while investing less shit if you share your shit, basically). But as long as the D3 leaderboard/season is just "farm paragon and keys for 3 months and then hope for the best on last week pushing", I'll pass.

I really liked Titans Quest and those guys made Grim Dawn and personally its the closet thing to diablo 2 you'll find. If you like d3 for what it is then thats your thing but diablo3 isn't a diablo game its too easy to walk away from and not care or miss out on anything

Where's the massive army filled with skellies, mages, revives and let us not forget our golems? They even screwed Decrepify. The curse which slowed, weakened and made them take amp damage. WW barb was amazing and I had the time of my life playing it, the nirvana monk had me all giddy for weeks of enjoyment and spending billions of gold on awesome gear to make it work haha, When ROS came out and the JADE set was introduced I literally put over 700 hours in a short time frame farming for the full set, grinding my ever-loving balls off! When Soul Harvest was one shotting rift guardians for like 9billion+ oh yeah baby... that was pure unadulterated enjoyment for me. When the demonhunter set for the turrets was introduced i again farmed my ass off to get it and had many weeks of enjoyments, ended up my most geared character ever, when Alkaiser rolled back into d3 and started a ww barb again, back when Shard of hate was OP AS FUCK! and seeing what he was doing to packs and how fast it was, again... i farmed my ass off to get it! And again, many weeks of fucking fun, when leap quake barbs was amazing, again, when raekor barb came to light, again.... The point I am trying to make is that this game has given me so many fucking months of non stop fun, even with breaks in between to try other games out (Path of Exile/MU Legend etc). For a simple $80 for Original d3 and ROS and thats it! Ive gotten that much fun out of it and it hasnt stopped, to match that amount of fun, packed into the same amount of time for anything you can find in real life, you would prolly be in debt up to your asshole lol. Id pay $100 to play the necro, lol. BRING IT ON! 700+ MORE HOURS OF ENJOYMENT INCOMING!

Jens Nielsen: It's optional dlc. You'll get cosmetics, a new zone, a bunch of new items, additional stash tabs and a new class to play. You don't have to buy it, but you won't be able to play the Necromancer unless you pay for it. Basically works the same way as Reaper of Souls and the Crusader, except this content pack is smaller (and likely cheaper) than the Reaper of Souls expansion.

THYREQUIEM: They never "disproved" that they weren't adding the Necromancer to a future expansion. They simply said that they're working on a new class. I sincerely doubt they're going to take a whole year to release a whole class that they're already this far on. Also, Blizzard has the funds to endorse ay project they want with as many employees as they need. The fact that D3 doesn't provide residual income doesn't change the fact that they make plenty of money from other projects. Lastly, I can definitely wait a year for an expansion. In the meantime, Heroes Of The Storm is always amazing.

An small studio for self funded devs with an interest/ determination could out produce this game for content..I mean how many call of duties has there been in this time scale? lllockon: am i the only one that thinks this is not good enough? the game was released after 10 years (unknown how long the development cycle was) but with only 4 acts, 4 classes and 60 levels (no end game - which was fine). over the course of 4 years there was been 1 new class and 1 expansion (1 new act) and some endgame changes (item sets gating the end game and stuff like rifts). And now they are only at the very early stages of development of the necromancer (the art director was only hired around 11 months ago and was involved since the inception of the necro). And they want people to pay for a new class without any extra substance other than 2 extra stash tabs and some transmog stuff..... well sure why not. And the sad thing is people will buy it and blizzard will not learn. I've enjoyed the game a bit, the level scaling in vanilla was poor especially due to level based abilities and such and poor itemisation, the recent changes of item set etc brought some life into it but made it less of a diablo game, with this news and the lack of care that they have I'm done with the game.

POE provides INSANE build diversity , INSANE itemization , INSANE end game content along everything else ( atmosphere , interesting dark world , interesting encounters etc ). What POE lacking is gameplay smoothness since its game engine is old along with flashy graphics and that its not CASUAL FRIENDLY ( which is not bad by any means ), means you need to do your research before you start or youll end up frustrated ( or not ) most likely. I can talk for days what POE does epicly good and what D3 does epicly bad. Movement Productions: Put in some time since Vanilla D3 and spent about 4k hours. Loot 2.0/ uncapped paragons were the biggest "first'ish" changes and while many screamed: GREAT GAME NOW (since the rmah/ah was taken out as well) I was let down since it seemed this game went for a semi decision making game to a: 12 year old lets all become brain dead type game. 2017 and still nothing on the table for Diablo 3 feels very bad. This is why I started playing PoE however since my last year my work load has increased and having to commute to a big city with countless of hours in traffic each day.... And they have just come out of 2 huge releases and are now bringing some of those people to other projects, one being fixing up SC2. This is just an asumption based on what they've already told us, these other games need some love right now. Diablo will have it's time again, and when it does it will probably be great, like most of the times. Keep the hope up :) PS. I can see where you come from, no hard feelings :)

Made a Druid my wolves killed everything me happy. D3 comes saying screw player decision lets make gear define your skills strength. I wanted minions so I don't worry about gear but oh well. The upside is it made me play every other class that didn't have summons so far my favorite is the crusader one handing a 2 handed sword with a bad ass shield makes me feel so awesome. Edit: I forgot to add that I am almost un-killable I feel like tank who needs a dps hero behind it therefore it feels very VERY grindy.

PinkVoid: Corpse Explosion, Blood Boid(or whatever): corpse explosion gets a cooldown of 60 seconds, but everytime you kill an enemy it spreads a blood pool, that every enemy who walks in gets marked for 5 seconds, taking 25%more dmg, and after Corpse Explosion is triggered it deals (tons of dmg) to all enemies market and near by the market ones(20% of the official dmg). Wouldnt that be cool ?

xXViverraXx: Blood Rush is basically teleport, except a lesser cooldown which does seem a little op, but i mean with most wizards running teleport that cooldown is closer to a second, and then considering the rune wormhole the theoretical cooldown is only half a second. depending on what runes that this skill will have it seems it will be somewhat balanced with all things considered
