8. TheUraneth: I have a doubt on Shenlong's set bonus. Do both bonuses stack? I mean, once you activate the 300% bonus damage, do you still have the extra Spirit% bonus damage on the generators? If you can keep up with the 65/sec drain you could potentially have 500~600% bonus damage up...

(okay, he sometimes uses other skills, but he uses them so fewly that he doesn't have a fuckin % of cd reduction x) ) So why wouldn't we be able to play ony generators based ? There's even items like flying dragon and those pants that are meant to boost generators ! And the set (2) of storms ! And a gem ! And now the first effect of Shenlong's set ! Why wouldn't we be allowed to play based on generators if there are so many buffs toward them ? Plus, iWanted to try one on the live, and i'm just using it on the ptr, you can't just AA in the middle of the ennemy, you have to use your skills and buffs at good timings to not get screwed, and you have to keep your spirit hight with those Shenlong's ! It's more skilled than a barbarian spinning '-' I mean, it's not a problem about which one is more skilled, but hell, why wouldn't they allow a one based skill build ?

Instead of having 1 EP on him with your generators, you have 7 per Seven sided strike. Tried it myself yesterday, with and without Madstone and the difference is really noticeable. To be honest, after equipping a madstone i hardly use my generator, only to keep my F/R up, i hardly ever hit 3 times in a row. The way im playing is: I dash into a pack, hit once with a generator, hit SSS and stuff explodes (thanks due Madstone) and then i dash to the next pack/big trash group. But to each his own ofc, i just really like how madstone works with this set especially for single target dmg.

22. oponomo: why would they buff the damage on the most OP skills the game currently has? seven sided and exploding palm are insane, and now with the new changes they are constant and multiplied by over 9 thousand. multi shot demon hunter will look like nothing on speed runs.

Rémi Hasse: Do you try a build with only generators (one of each element), with mystic ally fire, serenity (because HC), the boots to have 2ally, 3piece inna (with rorg in the cube) to get 4mantra + boost ally passiv, shenlong, the new ring which up the spirit regen of generators, and the conclave (hit with a generator of fire during fire boost, etc), 2pieces of RoaTS, the depth diggers, the crudest boots Moreover with 2 ally, you can use the passiv which up your damage by ally with your mantra even alone, the passiv which up your damage by differents generators you use. Honnestly it's very cool. Against a monster who can resist a little (more than 20billion hp) you can even keep the boost of shenlong because of the high regeneration of your generators with the new ring and the high speed of your punch. P: And for HC gamers you can use the spirit guards :)

I think this should make you capable of 1 or 2 shotting rg's since when you use sss you should do about 204k weapon dmg in 1 button if madstone gives u an ep on every hit. If you could give it a shot once everything is on ptr i'd love you for it! :D

Every 7 sided strike applies Exploding palm, could be usefull for RG(on higher Grifts), since with this set+madstone you will apply and then detonate right away, instead of just applying 1 exploding palm, you apply 7 per 7 sided strike (14 with the new season only item)

But for high GR 60+, i think the 60% cdr for SSS not required, I think its better to get the Fist of AZ 100% EP dmg bonus from the cube and get the shenlong set, It will mutiply by 300% all dmg. The shenlong bonus is so great, just like focus/restrain, its hard to bypass.

Hitsters: +Alberto Felici For many reasons: Some are just excited to try new stuff, like i was, some wants to benefits from the bonuses on legendary drop, to test the new sets, and items, to improve your start on the live, like i was, once again, and finally, the PTR is here to test how the patch will be working, if it needs improvments, if there are bugs, glitchies, and so on. If nobody test it, it could have bad repercussions on the live, and take much longer to come. And once again, i'm here to leave feedbacks, so that the game will be balanced as good as it could be, so that they can check what happened if i have a bug, etc... before the release of the patch on the live servers :) And actually, i'm pretty bored, so when i knew more stuff was available on the D3 PTR, i just came along :) I'm testing some shitty an awesome things right know, to know how to not fail the start with my monk at season 4.

I'm new to the game so I don't understand all the mechanics yet, however in my game it just has like a slot for where to put the keystone into. Is there a setting I have to change or something? 159. Mike Sakaru: +kyle billheimer Not quite, actually. Not trying to be a dick, just for clarification: There's two types of damage classes. DPS and Burst. The thing you called "Consistent" is DPS. Damage Per Second is the focus. The other type being Burst. You usually have lower Damage Per Second over a long period.. But much, much higher Damage Per Second over a 1~2 second period. Example: Spammable skill that does 3k damage 2 times per second is a DPS class skill. Cooldown skill that does 30k damage instantly once per 10 seconds is a Burst class skill. Now, I'm not saying those two examples would be "balanced" next to one another, that's really not the point. The point is merely to help explain the difference. And I hope it did, in fact; help. As far as Diablo goes.. DPS matters more thanks to the way GRifts work. You'll never be able to 1 shot everything, since things keep getting stronger to the point you can no longer clear. So burst ain't as effective since it'll take time to kill things, so you want the most DPS possible. Quick Edit to clarify one last thing: Everything 'has' an amount of Damage Per Second. Not everything is considered in the DPS category of skill/build.

176. Roberto Ricci: +QuintessenceHD Monk has been always penalized with shitty weapons and sets (think about the old shenlong fists and the old thousand storms set, both awful). From the new thousand storms Monk has been appreciated a bit more, i think the Uliana set is pretty good too.

Maybe we will have a bu ild that can get the reduction down even more but atm this is best. But it's early int he PTR so we dont know shit atm.

With the 6 piece set you make EP go off without killing the monster, correct? So this set with the lionsclaw and Fist of Az'turrasq and madstone is looking at 20000%+ per hit with SSS.

181. Tyler Durden: +dean1310 you COULD, but you'd lose so many other items that would be beneficial to the set. Plus the new Hellfire Amulets will be much easier to get (and thus nearly BIS for all classes). It is going to take a long time to flesh everything out on 2.4 due to the new Cube too. Cube EP Fist of Az and helm for example opens up a lot of options.

193. Talyn Rahl: BIG fan of the new Shenlong set, I'm going to try out a generator based build for season 4.  Out of interest what was the generator build you were using, that was kicking out 8bil crits :p, I had a rough idea of what I was going to use, but I don't think it'd be capable of 8bil.
