In my opinion/experience this build is currently the strongest possible monk setup for t6 speed farming!

9. SofaKingLeet: +ChrisMag100 i agree taeguk is superior to powerful.  however without using the number lock trick its very very distracting to try and keep up sweeping wind in high GRs.  just my opinion.  i have switched back to taeguk since the "auto cast" number lock trick is totally broken.

Ever since release monk never seemed competitive to me, and they pretty much weren't, up until the release of the sunwuko set. I've been playing since vanilla beta and in the grand scheme of things the competitiveness of monks started not too long ago. They're just in a much better place now, which is why I'm thinking of trying monk again for S2.

The WD at first was my least favorite class but over the years it became one of my favorite classes. By far my best geared toon. If I had to choose I would say the Barb is my least fav, still a fun class tho.

35. Pasiveshift: Why would you want even more damage on a T6 rift clearing build which pretty much 2-3 shot elites? Boon of the hoarder helps you clear the rifts faster than a bane of the powerful since it gives MS every time you pick up gold.

41. pannekoeken2: very helpful thx a lot, i had to adapt a bit because i lack a lot of items but got it working nonetheless! much <3 i lack the weapon so i used reapers wraps and blinding flash with replenishing light (instead of sweeping wind) for some extra spirit gain.

51. ChrisMag100: Fire is superior to lightning except in groups centered around a CS ZDPS monk or Tiki WD, in which case the higher damage/smaller area damage pillar monk will do a lot more damage. T6, no contest - fire is superior. Solo - lightning has higher GR potential but fire is still what I prefer.

Steel Breeze: +ChrisMag100 not quite ChrisMag100, you can run up to 6.60 % RCR in paragon, in fact I recommend you do, the inna's set reduces the cost of sweeping wind by 70 spirit and 6.60% of 75 (the full cost of sweeping wind) is 4.5 spirit, so the total sweeping wind cost reduction would be 74.5, meaning sweeping wind cost's 0.5 spirit per cast, if you run with no RCR paragon, then sweeping wind costs 5 spirit per cast, this can cause you problems with your spam, as you potentially could run low on spirit and lose the taeguk stacks. If you run 6.80% RCR paragon, which is 5.1 spirit reduction to sweeping wind, then yes, you won't proc taeguk because sweeping wind becomes zero cost.

ChrisMag100: Resource cost reduction from Crimson doesn't really have much effect on the efficiency of the build. 10% reduction on top of 45-50% from Torch and 25-30% bell cost reduction from Cindercoat,  and 10% RCR from Paragon translates a final cost reduction of around 1-2 spirit per bell cast. Inna's pants/belt gives passive +2 regen, LPSS, while also making sweeping wind effectively free to recast. Warzechian is good, but Reapers or Nemesis are also very useful. Crudest is +4 (8) passive regen, vs 10% CDR on Crimson which results in one extra charge of Dashing Strike per minute, best case. Bottom line, good video but I'd disagree with a few details.
55. theblindsaint: What if you used a different helm and used inner fire? Something like a Leoric's crown or Andys? Still provides map wide aoe clear with the clones and you can also get free dashes?

83. stingersteelers1: Don't have your exact set up but I do have your kind of passive 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. Could of been shorter but 2:30am little foggy brain. It has made a differents it is amazing cause I am now able to take down enemies faster and all I have to do now is decide which skill I want to go for cause now I use a little bit of frost and lightning with a bit of fire. Although I am more heavy into lightning but whatever I have yet to make up mind. I am doing the frost kick thing cause I can hit them at a distance. I'm not sure what els could work.

Chris Bishop: i use just about everything that you're using except im using bane of the powerful instead of hoarder and my ammy has ideal stats.  With crudest boots you get double the profit from your ally. And against elites i crit about 350-600mil dmg. Not showing off or anything. just feel that i know that you made #1 monk you, could make your damage alot higher. i regen about 24 spirit a second and spam about 28-34 wave of light a whole spirit pool.  granted i dont have alot of movement speed.

Sad thing is I played the console version first so I had 4 classes super geared on that version also, then did it all over again when I switched to pc for early access to the RoS xpac, never looked back. Its nice to be able to play all classes, helps change things up. The reason I geared super quick for my monk this patch is cause I already had almost everything besides the Torch, got it my second day farming. Loving how fast they play this patch.

144. ChrisMag100: Your formula isn't ideal. The correct format is: 1 - (1 - a%)*(1 - b%)*(1 - c%)*(skill cost). The issue is that the Stat cost of any given piece of gear has a value in the Blizzard universe. Anytime you have more instances of a single multiplicative stat, the value of the stat is less. Example: Torch is 50% RCR max. Assuming the first 50% from torch,  you effectively reduce the bell cost to 37.5, which is equal to 0.75 spirit cost reduction per % point of RCR. By the time you get to the 4th RCR stat (50 torch, 30% cinder, 10% paragon, 10% crimson) the 10% reduction equates to 0.2365 spirit cost reduction per % of RCR. The question isn't whether the added RCR benefits you, but whether the an additional 2.36 spirit reduction and 10% CDR in cost is worth the loss of 2 spirit per second, 200 LPSS and free sweeping wind casts. For greater rifts, there's no question in my mind that Inna's 3-piece is superior because there are nearly always times when SW will drop because you have to leave combat (reflect damage champ packs for example), there's a gap between packs or you die (softcore) and have to spool back up with limited spirit and no SW stacks. Additionally, sustain is critical for high GR's, the more the better generally because it's an additive stat and will allow you to face-tank some damage types, thus allowing for sustained DPS. For T6, I'd agree that those set bonuses are not important and a slight increase in RCR could be valuable. Spirit cost is a non-issue in T6 anyway due to the killing speed of the build, reapers wraps, etc.   
145. S Wilvers: I have tried the Lightning build and this build. So far lightning is the better one for me since my gear for that build is better. 200+ hours on my monk and still no Tzo Krins :( I have 4 torches tho!

I just recently came back to D3, chose Monk as my class, and I'm super happy I found a pro monk like Quin.  A question - if I wanted to take this build into grifts and uber bosses and stuffs, how should I modify it? I'm not sure how much I like being completely dependant on gold drops for my defensive stat. Belt for Crimson's? Crudest Boots? Defensive passives? I'm gearing up in the new season, and this honestly seems to be the goal to reach to start farming as effectively as possible as soon as possible.

176. BreadJokes: Yeah, my monk geared really fast too. The only items I had for monk were sunwuko shoulders and gloves, and I managed to gear for t6 in like 3 hours. I have like over 300 hours on my wizard/dh and only like 50 on my monk, and my monk is by far my strongest character

180. ChrisMag100: Rue Chambers affects generators and doesn't apply. The build doesn't use a gen, and instead relies on resource cost reduction from the Incense Torch, Cindercoat and Paragon, plus cooldown-based regen from your air ally and epiphany.
181. ChrisMag100: Taeguk is superior to Powerful in high GRs, but you need to run zero paragon in RCR, and 2 pieces of Inna's which allows you to spam Sweeping Wind to prevent Taeguk stacks from dropping between packs. If you run paragon RCR, you will reduce SW cost to zero which prevents casts from refreshing Taeguk.
182. Aeru: Got pretty much everything, just need a better RORG and Sunwuko's Necklace. I'm not going to use the helm you have because I rather have the option to change my gloves. I want to have the gloves from Act 2 Caches that give you the 10 min Shrine buff. Other then that, I found some really good Steady Strikers that I may replace the arm-guards you have in the video with. Jumped 300mill in gold so far LOL. If I could get the exp for gold Bracers, I may do that until I hit higher tier Paragon level's. Only 381 right now :c

(now @ seasonal p280) Another fun item to try on is the [Ring] Avarice Band http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/avarice-band-3qROK2, which increase pickup radius everytime you pick up gold.  With that, you literally just pick up all the gold that drops.  Cool Stuff :)

224. Delukz: I find that I literally have no need for goldwrap + boon of the hoarder, with a ranged build you barely get hit anyway if you play it smart. I much rather use harringtons or some other funky belt like witching hour.
